Patrol

The patrol division of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is comprised of eleven deputy sheriffs and one patrol sergeant. Deputies assigned to the patrol division are responsible for enforcing federal and state laws, as well as, enforcing all county ordinances adopted and codified by the County of Johnson.

Each member of the patrol division is responsible for exercising the duties and responsibilities associated with his or her position as a deputy sheriff. The patrol division provides a wide range of law enforcement services for more than fifty-thousand residents across more than eight hundred square miles of Johnson County, Missouri. 

The duties of the patrol division include responding to crimes in progress, warrant service, investigating incidents of crime, taking citizen’s complaints, writing incident reports, traffic enforcement, narcotics enforcement, serving court documents, and answering calls for law enforcement services from the general public.
