A Chilhowee man led Johnson County Sheriff's Officers on a foot pursuit yesterday afternoon before being apprehended.
Authorities had been looking for 35-year old Jonathan David Schofield in an attempt to serve a number of active warrants. Upon arrival at a residence on SW 950 Road, they were told that Schofield had left the residence on foot. Deputies saw Schofield running near a treeline Northwest of the residence and ordered him to stop. Schofield continued to flee from the officers and the County's K-9 unit but surrendered after being surrounded.
Schofield was booked on charges including the 14 previous Failure To Appear warrants for various drug charges, trespass and stealing, and driving while revoked. Additional charges include resisting arrest by fleeing. Schofield remains in custody at the Johnson County Jail with bond set at $17,750.
