Knob Noster Man Arrested In Homicide

On February 9, 2013 at 1:11am, Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 17 SE 971 Road in Knob Noster, on a report of a female suffering from a self- inflicted gunshot wound. Upon arrival on scene, responding deputies found 24-year old Danielle R. Garcia dead on the kitchen floor of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.  Garcia was officially pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner C. L. Holdren at 2:15am.

Following further investigation into the incident,  Johnson County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested the Husband of the victim, Anthony Garcia, and charged him with one count of Second Degree Murder, and one count of Armed Criminal Action in connection with the death. 

Anthony Garcia was booked into the Johnson County Jail at 11:55 Saturday morning. . Garcia, age 23, of 17 SE 971 Road, Knob Noster, remains in custody at the Johnson County Jail in lieu of a $250,000  bond.  The investigation into the case continues.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the Knob Noster Police and Fire Departments, Johnson County Ambulance District, and the Missouri Highway Patrol.
