On Friday, February 10, 2023, at approximately 3:36 pm, deputies met with Victim at an address in the 0 block of SE Y Highway, Warrensburg, Johnson County, Missouri. On Thursday, February 9, 2023, victim had sent an email advising that he is missing a stainless steel, semiautomatic handgun with seven (7) round magazine (unloaded). Victim last saw the handgun approximately July 1, 2022, and noticed it missing on Wednesday, February 11, 2023. On Thursday, November 24, 2022, victim had reported a stolen bank check, which his signature was forged on. Victim believes the handgun may have been stolen at the same time as the bank check.
