On 04/21/2023 at approximately 12:02 PM, Deputies were dispatched to a subject at Warrensburg Police Department reporting fraud, but having a current address in rural Warrensburg, Johnson County, Missouri.

Upon arriving on scene Deputies made contact with Victim who advised on April 17th he observed a charge come out of his account that he had not processed. Upon inquiring with his bank and checking his records he found that the charge was processed in Texas, by another person. Over several days, Victim observed several other similar charges come from his banking account, then also from his credit card. Victim stated that his email and Facebook account had been hacked and the subject, who he does not know, had gained access to both his credit card and debit information. Victim stated the subject also used his Facebook account to message his friends asking for money.
