On 5/3/2023 at approximately 10:12 am, deputies responded to the area of NW 150 and NW 131 Hwy on a report of utility line being stolen.

Deputies made contact the reporting party, a field technician with Brightspeed Internet. Reporting party advised he responded to the area on a work order of internet outage. During the troubleshooting he noticed approximately 200 feet of copper internet line (200 pair line) was cut between two utility poles. Reporting party advised he suspects it was cut between 0001-0600, 5/3/2023, based on the work order and the previous days event. Examination of the cut line, the cable is a 200 pair line, approximately 2 inch in diameter, and insulated with a black liner. Camden advised the loss is approximately $800. Investigation is ongoing.
