Crime Map Details

On January 25th, 2024 at approximately 2:36 P.M., deputies were dispatched to a vehicle theft at 311 NW 50 Hwy, Warrensburg, Missouri. Reporting party stated their step father's car was stolen from Skyhaven Conoco and Motel. While in route deputies observed the gold in color 2009 Chevy Malibu driving south on Maguire Street overpass, and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle failed to yield and deputies pursued the vehicle westbound on NW 50 Hwy.  Stop Sticks were deployed by deputies, which successfully deflated the vehicles tires.  The vehicle continued to the 180 block of NW 361 Road, where the driver fled the vehicle on foot.  The driver, identified as Gavin Howell, was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit. A passenger in the vehicle, Tabatha Ruff, was also found to have outstanding warrants and was also taken into custody.
