On 02/18/2025, at approximately 9:20 PM, Deputies were dispatched to a weapons call at a rural address in Kingsville, Johnson County, Missouri. The reporting party advised their boyfriend had just been assaulted. Deputies located the suspect on the scene and identified him as Cory Maxwell Franklin (35) of Lone Jack, Missouri. Cory was arrested for Assault, 1st Degree; Armed Criminal Action; Unlawful Use of Weapon; Unlawful Possession of Weapon; Kidnapping, 1st Degree; Resisting Arrest for a Felony; Property Damage, 2nd Degree; and Driving While Revoked.
