New Crime Resolution Initiative

03/18/2022

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is launching a new Crime Resolution Initiative that joins all law enforcement municipalities in Johnson County.

Jurisdictions working together will enhance resource sharing and information exchange to target and disrupt persistent criminals and criminal enterprises.

This approach is intended to target drug distribution networks, firearm crimes, stealing crimes, and related serious criminal activity beyond the investigative resources of individual agencies.

Sheriff Munsterman and his staff have met with police chiefs from Warrensburg, UCM, Holden, Knob Noster, and Leeton. They all are committed to this initiative.

Sheriff Munsterman has cross commissioned selected officers from each agency to assist his Crime Resolution Team and enable the municipalities to continue their investigations outside their cities alongside his Crime Resolution Team.

Sheriff Munsterman has designated three full-time CRT members who target drug distribution networks, firearm crimes, stealing crimes, and related serious criminal activity to this initiative.

The ability to link officers from each agency with members of our CRT will allow information exchange and criminal activity information to flow quicker throughout Johnson County and make enforcement more effective.
