Diversion Programs
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office participates in the 17th Judicial Circuit's Treatment Court diversion program by tracking participants compliance with program requirements. Diversion programs have proven to be effective in reducing recidivism, while providing accountability to participants and the community at large. These diversion programs provide the opportunity for individuals who otherwise would face years in prison, to remain in their community, continue to work and provide for their families.
